How to calculate the minimum resolution needed to make a display blurry?
I'd like to use an X display with a resolution of 1366x768 as an output device in a display server.
Now, according to the X server documentation, you can connect to a display using the highest available display resolution, so, I'm thinking that if the display server is set up with the highest resolution available, it's going to be blurry, and I'd like to avoid that.
I've found the minimum required resolution for a picture to look blurry on a 1920x1080 monitor:
The reason I'm asking for the minimum resolution is that, if the display server doesn't have the required resolution, there's no point in setting up the highest resolution available.

I've tried it with the Xvnc server with the following results (on a Dell E520):
if the display server has not the required resolution (in this case, a resolution of 2048x1536) then it's going to be blurry
if the display server has the required resolution, the resolution of the server will be the same (i.e. 1920x1080)
My tests show that the resolution of the server is always the same, so it makes sense to use the minimum resolution for the X server to work.
